Amy L. White
Aug. 18, 1973 – Jan. 24, 2019
Amy Lynn White was born Aug. 18, 1973, in Gordon to Gabe and Marilyn (Hilliker) Chasing Hawk, and passed away Jan. 24, 2019, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln at age 45. At an early age, Amy was adopted by Robert White, and he was a loving father to her.
As a young girl, Amy and her family moved to Beaver Crossing, where she attended Centennial Public Schools. Amy earned her CNA status and was employed with various nursing homes, beginning with Hearthstone in York and most recently Sunrise Country Manor in Milford. Amy enjoyed working and providing loving care for her residents over the years. On Dec. 29, 1990, she was blessed with a son, Cameron, and was united in marriage to Devin Duntz in Wilber. Later, to this union a son, Zeke, was born.
Amy’s family was the center of her life and she loved watching her family’s sporting events and other activities. She was an excellent cook, especially her mashed potatoes, was an avid fiction reader and loved participating in book clubs. Amy was also pretty good at showing up and singing karaoke.
Survivors include her sons, Cameron White and Zeke Duntz, both of Beaver Crossing; brother, Derek White of Fargo, North Dakota; aunts, Janice Noell of Cave Junction, Oregon, Katie and Phil Landreth of Rushville and Rose and Jerry Landreth, also of Rushville; an uncle, Roger Hilliker of Palm Springs, California; several cousins and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marilyn and Robert White.
Amy’s wish was to be cremated, and her ashes will be laid to rest at a later date. Her organs were donated, and her procurement allowed other lives to live on. Condolences may be sent to the family at laubermoore.com.
