Becky Lynn Imig was born Aug. 28, 1957, in Ogallala, the daughter of Jack and Beverly (Bloise) Carroll. She passed away suddenly on Oct. 6, 2026, at her home in Milford, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 8 days.

When Becky was two years old, her family moved to Sunnyvale, California. In 1965, they moved to Cupertino, California, for her father’s job. The family returned to Nebraska in 1974, settling in Lincoln, where Becky attended Lincoln East High School and graduated with the Class of 1975.

On Aug. 6, 1982, Becky was united in marriage to Ken Imig at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward. To this union, two sons, Brian and Lee, were born. While her boys were young, Becky devoted much of her time to being a stay-at-home mom. She also worked as a waitress and later as a paraeducator for Lincoln Public Schools.

In 2004, Becky graduated from Southeast Community College with a degree in Human Services. She went on to work at the Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center in Geneva, where she remained until her retirement in 2020.

Becky courageously battled cancer for 17 years. Throughout those years, she never allowed her illness to keep her from doing her job or living life to the fullest. She was an avid movie lover and enjoyed watching Netflix and cheering on Nebraska football. Above all, Becky treasured watching her grandsons participate in their many sporting activities and was always proud to support them.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Beverly Carroll.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Brian and wife, Briianne Imig, Seward, and Lee and wife, Sasha Imig, Seward; three grandsons, Teagen, Toren and Tristen Imig; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Mike and wife, Janet Carroll, Chico, California, Greg and wife, Catherine Carroll, Grand Junction, Colorado, and Randy and wife, Sue Carroll, Cupertino, California; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be Monday, Oct. 12, at 10:30 a.m. at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home, with a graveside service at 2 p.m. at the Seward Cemetery.

Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
