Performances of Living Last Supper end March 28

Seward United Methodist Church will host “The Living Last Supper,” a blend of art and worship, at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, and Thursday, March 28, at 1400 N. 5th St. in Seward. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome to this free enactment of DaVinci’s famous “Last Supper” painting in which the disciples explore their relationship with Christ during Holy Week.

Seward VFW annual Easter Egg Scramble March 30

The annual Easter Egg Scramble hosted by the Seward Veterans of Foreign Wars and Community Merchants will be held at the Plum Creek soccer fields on March 30. The egg hunt begins at 10 a.m. and has divisions based on age and ability.

Just like syrup the Goehner VFD sticks together with pancake feed

The Goehner Fire Hall is hosting a free will donation pancake feed to benefit Bruce Mavis of Seward due to ongoing medical expenses. The all you can eat breakfast will be on April 7 from 9 a.m. to noon.

The Lied Senior Center is bake in business

The Seward Lied Senior Center, 1010 Manor Drive, will host a potato bake from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 28.

Too cold - no games

Because of weather and field conditions, all the athletic competitions scheduled for yesterday were canceled or postponed. Coming up tomorrow, SHS baseball is to compete at Platteview; golf is to play a triangular at Crete; boys' and girls' soccer is set to host Crete at 4 p.m. at Seward Elementary; Seward track is to compete at Norris.
Milford track was to be at Wilber-Clatonia Tuesday, but that meet got moved to late April. Instead the Eagles will compete at Platteview tomorrow. The golf meet at Syracuse Wednesday was also postponed. The Crete-Milford baseball team is scheduled to play in a triangular at Wayne Thursday.
The Centennial golf team was to start its season today at Aquinas, but the meet was moved to Thursday at 10 a.m. CHS baseball is set to play at Twin River tomorrow.
Malcolm baseball is scheduled to play at Nebraska City tomorrow.
