As residents of Seward County, we believe the election for Sheriff is an important opportunity to consider the kind of leadership, professionalism, and accountability we want for our community. That is why we support Tim Huntington for Seward County Sheriff.
The position of Sheriff requires more than experience alone. It requires sound judgment, appropriate education and training, strong leadership, honesty, and a commitment to serving the public with integrity. It also requires someone who understands that public service is a responsibility to the people—not simply a position of authority.
We believe Tim Huntington deserves serious consideration because we want leadership that values qualifications, continued professional development, and the ability to make thoughtful, informed decisions. The responsibilities of the Sheriff’s Office are significant, and the people of Seward County deserve confidence that those responsibilities are being handled with professionalism and care.

We believe Tim Huntington represents an opportunity to move forward with a focus on necessary qualifications, integrity, transparency, and meaningful improvement. With 16 years of law enforcement experience, previous administrative experience as the interim jail director & administrative captain for the Seward County Sheriff’s Office, and as a current board-certified forensic entomologist, his education & background would be a significant benefit to our county. Seward County deserves leadership that welcomes accountability, values public confidence, and recognizes that the Sheriff’s Office ultimately exists to serve the people of this county.
This election is about the future of our community and the standards we expect from those entrusted with public office. We encourage our fellow residents to look carefully at the candidates, consider their qualifications and leadership priorities, and make an informed decision.
