Susie Mae Schlueter, age 79, passed away peacefully on Oct. 25, 2026, in Seward.
Born May 27, 1947, in Niagara Falls, New York, Susie brought warmth and kindness into the lives of all who knew her. She was devoted to her family and created a home filled with love and cherished memories, including her special enchiladas and Christmas morning waffles.
In 1998, a second chance at love brought Susie from Los Angeles to Tom in Seward, where they built a life together. Susie and Tom loved spending time with their blended family, traveling to California and Minnesota to visit their children and grandchildren. Their little dogs, Sadie and Tucker, were never far from their side.
Susie is survived by her devoted husband, Tom Schlueter; her beloved sons, Michael and Brian; cherished grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Georgia, and Kylie; and her stepchildren, Tommy, Carrie, Shelly and Jayne, along with their children, all of whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her lifelong childhood friend, Cheryl Schmieding.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy and Frank Littlewood.
A memorial service will be Friday, Nov. 27, at St. John Lutheran Church is Seward.
