Sally (Coyle) Wigmore, was born July 29, 1950, in Seward, and passed away peacefully Nov. 23, 2024, at her home in San Marcos, California. She was the beloved daughter of John and Sophie Coyle.
Sally studied mathematics at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, where she earned her degree. Her career took her to the Defense Logistics Agency, where she began her professional journey in Montana. It was there she met her late husband, Dennis Wigmore, with whom she shared a loving marriage until his passing in 2001.
The couple moved to Battle Creek, Michigan, where they started their family, welcoming their daughter, Rachel, in 1977. The following year, the Wigmores relocated to Mira Mesa, California, where they resided for over two decades, welcoming Jennifer in 1981, and raising their daughters in a nurturing and vibrant community.
Sally was a devoted mother to Rachel (Benjamin) Kittleson and Jennifer (Noel) Wong, and a cherished grandmother to Jonathan, Hannah, Ella, and Sarah. Sally was known for the unwavering love and support of her family.
Beyond her family, Sally really enjoyed road trips and dedicated much of her time to volunteering at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where she contributed for almost 20 years. Her commitment to her community and her love for animals were evident in her volunteer work, which were a source of personal pride and fulfillment.
Sally is survived by her siblings, Mary (Ron) Olson and Bill Coyle, who, along with her family and friends, will remember her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
