Kody Lee Rayburn, 29, of Lancaster County, formerly of Goehner, where he graduated from Seward High School in 2014, passed away Monday, Feb. 10, 2025, following a tragic car accident. He was born Dec. 15, 1995, in Lincoln to Leshara Rayburn and Dennis Persinger, Jr.
Kody is survived by his children, Layla Rayburn, Austin Rayburn, and Jalen Schmitz; brother, Kade Rayburn of Lincoln; sister, Braylin Persinger of Omaha; step-siblings, Kile and Hannah, both of Seward; mother, Leshara Rayburn-Love of Goehner; father, Dennis Persinger, Jr., and wife DeAnna of Omaha; two grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many close friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Feb. 19, at Harman-Wright Mortuary in Beatrice from 2 – 8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5 – 7 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at St. John Lutheran Church in Beatrice. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Home Cemetery in Beatrice.
