Anita Adell Brand, 93, passed away Feb. 7, 2025, at the Journey House at Tabitha Home in Lincoln.
She was born in Victoria, Texas, in 1931, moved to Lincoln in 1936 and Fontanelle in 1941. She spent most of her life in Fontanelle and Fremont.
She married Myron Brand in 1949, and they raised their family there. Besides being a full-time mother and wife, she worked many years for the Dodge County Soil Conservation Service and the Fremont School's central office.
Besides her family and work, Anita enjoyed music and her service to the church.
Anita is survived by her children, Doug (Gail) of Seward, Nancy (Joel) Schroeder of Blair, and Jan Madsen of Lincoln. She was proceeded in death by son-in-law Galen Madsen and three siblings.
Services and burial were at the Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle on Feb. 11.
