Surely a Monday the 13th won't be as bad as a Friday the 13th.

Tabitha will host a grief support group the second Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Seward. Call (402) 362-7739 to register. The next meeting will be Tuesday, May 14.

The Milford Color Run, sponsored by 2020 Close-Up, will be Tuesday, May 14, at Milford High. The one-mile and 5K races will begin at 5:30 p.m. near the practice field at MHS. T-shirt pickup starts at 4 p.m. in the commons area. Entry fees are $15 for students through 12th grade and $20 for adults. Registration was due by May 2.

The Alzheimer’s Caregiver Support Group will meet the second Tuesday of each month. The group is open to anyone who has a family member dealing with dementia. The meeting will be Tuesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. at Brookdale Heartland Park.

Sheriff Mike Vance will talk about his position as sheriff and answer questions at the Seward Senior Center Wednesday, May 15, at 12:30 p.m.

The community is invited to take an afternoon break and relax in front of the big screen in the lower level conference room at Seward Memorial Library. Enjoy a new release feature film on Wednesday, May 15, at 1:15 p.m. Contact the library at (402) 643-3318 for specific movie titles.

Weekend scoreboard

The Seward baseball team lost its state opener May 10, falling to Hastings 12-2. The Jays will play Mount Michael Benedictine Monday at 10 a.m. in an elimination game at Werner Park.

The state track meet will be Friday and Saturday, May 18 and 19, with athletes from across the state vying for gold medals. Local athletes competing are:
