The base is in place

The base for the William H. Seward statue on the northwest corner of the courthouse lawn was installed May 17. Work on the area began the week of April 15, and since then, sidewalks have been poured, brick has been laid and the base for the bronze statue has been set. Benches surround the statue, which will be the focal point of the plaza, meant to be a gathering space.
