NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by the Seward County Clerk, 529 Seward Street, Seward, Nebraska 68434, until April 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m., for construction of a culvert in Seward County. Structure No. C008023110 is located between Sec. 33 & 34-T12N-R3E, Seward County, Nebraska. The sealed bids are to be addressed to the “County Clerk of Seward County, 529 Seward Street, Seward, Nebraska 68434,” and plainly marked, “Seward County Culvert Project, Structure No. C008023110, Project No. C-80(422), Seward Northeast Bid.” The work shall include all labor, materials, transportation and equipment required for the construction of: Sta. 30+55: Triple 12’ x 12’ x 60’ Concrete Box Culvert on a 45° skew (RHB). Special Plan No. 1. Copies of the Bid Documents and Specifications are on file and open to public inspection at the following locations: Speece-Lewis Engineers, Inc., 906 S 26th Street, Lincoln, NE 68510 Seward County Hwy. Supt. Office, 320 South 14th Street, Seward, NE 68434 A set of plans may be obtained at Speece-Lewis Engineers, Inc., 906 South 26th Street, Lincoln, NE 68510 for a nonrefundable fee of $10.00. Each bidder will be required to submit with his proposal a Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable, without condition, to the County Treasurer of Seward County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five (5) percent of his proposal. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded shall furnish within ten (10) days after the award a surety bond or bonds in a sum equal to the full amount of the contract. The form of the bonds and surety shall be acceptable to the Seward County Board of Commissioners. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive any irregularities in bids. Seward County Commissioners are very interested in the estimated date for which furnished materials will be delivered. Seward County Commissioners reserve the right to take the delivery date into account when selecting the Contractor. Awarding of the Contract will be in accordance with the eleven points enumerated under “Competitive Bidding; consideration”, COUNTY PURCHASING ACT, N.R.S.
