NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Public notice is hereby given by the Planning Commission of the City of Seward, Nebraska, that a Special meeting will be scheduled for a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on December 3rd, 2018, at the Seward Municipal Building, 142 North 7th Street, Seward, Nebraska. Public notice is hereby also given by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Seward, Nebraska, that a regular public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on December 4th, 2018, at the Seward Municipal Building, 142 North 7th Street, Seward, Nebraska. The purpose of both hearings is to obtain public comment prior to the review and consideration of a proposed declaration of an area of the City as blighted and substandard, and a proposed amendment to the redevelopment plan for the City of Seward to include the specific blighted and substandard area. The property which is the subject of this notice and of the public hearing is generally located at the northwest corner of Lincoln Street and N Columbia Avenue in Seward, and is legally described as follows: Lots 1, 2, 3, and 4, Duerr Subdivision, City of Seward, Seward County, Nebraska. All interested parties shall be afforded at each public hearing a reasonable opportunity to express their views regarding the proposed redevelopment plan amendment. A map of the blight and substandard area and a copy of the blight and substandard study shall be maintained at the office of the City Clerk.
