NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS Public notice is hereby given by the Planning Commission of the City of Seward, Nebraska, that a public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m. on September 9, 2019, at the Seward Municipal Building, 142 North 7th Street, Seward, Nebraska. Public notice is hereby also given by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Seward, Nebraska, that a public hearing will be held at 7:00 p.m. on September 17, 2019, at the Seward Municipal Building, 142 North 7th Street, Seward, Nebraska. The purpose of both hearings is to obtain public comment prior to the review and consideration of a proposed amendment to the redevelopment plan for the City of Seward, including a specific redevelopment project. The property which is the subject of this notice and of the public hearings is generally located on Seward Street between 4th Street and 5th Street and legally described as follows: Tax Lots Seventeen (17) and Sixteen (16), Block Five (5), Original Town of Seward, Seward County, Nebraska, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the southwest corner of Lot Twelve (12), in Block Five (5), in the Original Town of Seward, Nebraska; thence east 45 feet; thence north 126 feet; thence west 45 feet, and thence south 126 feet, to the place of beginning, situated in the City of Seward, Seward County, Nebraska. All interested parties shall be afforded at such public hearings a reasonable opportunity to express their views regarding the proposed redevelopment plan amendment. A map of the redevelopment area and a copy of the cost-benefit analysis for the proposed project shall be maintained at the office of the City Clerk.
