NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING Notice is given that the Seward County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Monday, June 26, 2023, 7:30 p.m., at the Seward Civic Center 616 Bradford Street, Seward, Nebraska, about the following: Proposal regarding possible amendments to the Zoning Regulations of Seward County Nebraska, consistent with the Seward County Comprehensive Plan. Pursuant to Article 2, Definition of Terms, Section 2.03 of the Seward County Nebraska Zoning Regulations. The proposed amendments relate to regulations for Combined Dwelling. The proposed amendments would affect Section 2.03. of the existing regulations and would add a new Section for Combined Dwelling(s). 2.03.161.01 DWELLING, COMBINATION shall mean a combination of a dwelling unit and a machine shed under a common or connecting roofing system. A Combination Dwelling shall not be classified as a farm building. The facility shall meet the minimum standards for Single-Family Dwelling. In addition, the Combination Dwelling must meet the following standards: The Combination Dwelling shall have a finished living space to include a kitchen/kitchenette, bathroom, and living/sleeping quarters. Combination Dwelling cannot have wheels, axels, transporting lights, or removeable towing apparatus attached. Allowable in: A-1, TA-1, RR-1 MU-1 A copy of the full text of all proposed amendments is available at the Seward County Zoning Office and the Seward County Clerk’s Office.
