COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month, meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Board of Equalization meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month starting at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. OCTOBER CLAIMS ALLOWED OCTOBER 25, 2016 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on September 20 at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairman Roger E. Glawatz; Members: Mike Luebbe, Diana Garske, Eugene Gausman, Whitney Fleischman; County Clerk Sherry Schweitzer. Approved the minutes of September 13, 2016. Jonathan Jank, Executive Director of the Seward County Chamber and Development Partnership gave an update on activities of his organization. Mike Janssen, Building and Grounds Supt. gave an update on activities in his dept. Approved the Surplus Property Disposal Request from the Buildings and Grounds Dept. Approved the contract with Hartmann Construction for the McKelvie Road Project. Approved the Right of Way Certificate for a Federal Aid Project, as presented by Georgia Stockley of the Road Dept. Approved the bid for new fuel tanks for the Road Dept. to Midwest Pump, upon the recommendation of Jeff Fleischman. Authorized the Chairman to sign a lease Agreement with Eakes for a printer/copier/ fax machine for the Jail as presented by Maria Hatfield, Detention Center Director. Approved a Change Order for a time Extension, presented by Dean Uhlenberg of Beckenhauer Construction. Commissioner Fleischman gave an update on the Justice Center. Approved 4 Special Designated Liquor License for JUNTO LLC. Approved County Office Inventories. Al Raiter and Tooty Hallberg were present to discuss maintenance around Rock Creek Road. Commissioner Garske gave a “Same Page Meeting” update. Tom Nielsen of Soarin was also present. Commissioners reported on their activities for the week.
