COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month, meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Board of Equalization meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month starting at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. OCTOBER CLAIMS ALLOWED OCTOBER 27TH, 2015 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on October 13, 2015 at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: Whitney Fleischman; Members: Diana Garske, Gene Gausman, Roger E. Glawatz; County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer; County Assessor: Marilyn Hladky. Absent: Member: Mike Luebbe. Approved the minutes of September 25th, 2015. Approved one Tax List Correction. Adopted a resolution in regard to setting levies for Seward County entities. Hladky then updated the Commissioners on activities of her office. Adopted the agenda for October 27th, 2015. Met as the Board of Commissioners. Approved the minutes of October 6th, 2015. The Commissioners reported on their activities the past week. Approved Letter of Engagement with Edward Jones. Accepted the Treasurer’s First Quarter Investment Report. Accepted the Weed/Zoning Report for September 2015. Discussed Justice Center Update with Dean Uhlenberg of Beckenhauer Construction. Approved Change Order #2 for the Justice Center. Michaela Tuttle, HR discussed an Electronic Time Keeping System for the County. Approved the Right of Way request for Seward County Public Power District, E precinct. Approved the recommendation of Lower Platte South NRD to award the low bid for the 168th and Pioneer Road Dam and Grading Project to B-D Construction Inc. Authorized Change Order # 1 & the Contractors Application along with the Certificate for Payment No. 2 for the Van Dorn Paving Project.
