Concordia University’s Seth Boggs was named the recipient of the Seward Mayor’s Art Award on Feb. 5 at the Seward Rotary Club meeting.
He was honored for his recent mural at Seward High - “Let’s Fly” - featuring a Bluejay mascot on the mural. Boggs donated the mural to Seward High through the Bluejay Bash sponsored by the Seward High Booster Club.
He and his wife, Megan, were guests of the Seward Rotary Club and recognized and honored by Rotarian Clark Kolterman, who also serves on the Seward Arts Council Board. The Arts Council has named the Mayor’s Art Award since 2016.
He briefly shared some of the other mural work he has completed in the Seward area and thanked the Seward Rotary for supporting the arts.
Nominations for the annual Mayor’s Art award can be made to any officer of the Seward Arts Council or by contacting Clark Kolterman, Seward Arts Council at clark.kolterman@sewardschools.org or call him at (402) 641-8522.
