Call meeting to order & announce Open Meetings Act is Posted 1.2. Public Notice as publicized per board policy The public notice was posted at city hall, library and courthouse. The public notice was dated February 8, 2023. 1.3. Roll Call 1.3.1. Action to excuse board members if necessary 1.4. There was none. 3. Staff Recognition Cynthia Toovey is our classified staff winner and was presented a Bluejay Award. Cynthia works in the middle school production room and fills in wherever needed at the middle school. 4. Reports 4.1. Administrator Reports Written reports were received from the administrators. 4.2. Student Board Report  Madison Dominy presented her report to the board. 4.3. Superintendent's Report Dr. Fields updated the board on legislative issues and thanked those that attended the NASB legislative conference. Dr. Fields attended a meeting with the Seward County Roads Department and other school superintendents to discuss road conditions. We are short-staffed in the custodial area along with paraprofessionals. Video Boards are up and working. BRAN is scheduled for June 9-10, 2023 and they might be using some of our open areas at the high school. Dr. Fields gave a Nebraska Commissioner of Education hiring update. 4.4. Carpet Bids Motion to the approve the carpet bid from Midwest Floor Covering Inc. for $63,909. Passed with a motion by Jill Hochstein and a second by Paul Duer. Signing Bonus and Retention Bonus Language Change Motion to change the hiring and retention bonus language for new and returning bus drivers to- The hiring bonuses will be paid after 10 routes/activities for any new driver and returning drivers will be paid the retention bonus at the end of each semester.
