VILLAGE OF STAPLEHURST BOARD SPECIAL MEETING The following is a condensed form of the minutes. A complete copy is on file and available for inspection upon request at the village office. The Village of Staplehurst Board of Trustees held a special meeting on June 10, 2025, with Chairperson Frank and Trustees Hans, Benedict, Wilken, and Stava all present. The Board reviewed four mowing bids for the cemetery, park, water treatment plant, and baseball field: Sloup Mowing $330, Cuttin It Close Lawn Care $625, Green Thumb Lawn Service $810, and Lawn & Order $400. The Board approved Sloup Mowing at $330, with services to include spraying weeds around the park. Trustee Stava will contact Sloup Mowing for the official start date. EPA updates were shared regarding next steps for the water tower project, with the EPA operating on a minimum 30-day review period and the village clerk to email the next required agreement. The Board reviewed and approved the list for second courtesy letters to be sent from the village attorney for property mandated clean-up as part of the Staplehurst cleanup initiative.
