The Utica/Beaver Crossing Juniors couldn’t stay with Wymore Diller Odell June 26, falling 12-4. WDO scored six in the fifth to end the game early via the run rule.
Parker Perry was 2-3 with a double and drove in a run. Ayden Konken also doubled and drove in one for UBC.
Perry was the starting pitcher and went 4.2 innings, striking out two. Chase Pankoke pitched in relief, facing four batters in the fifth.
UBC (5-8) is scheduled to host Hebron Thursday, July 3, at 7 p.m. and close the regular season with a trip to Wilber Tuesday, July 8, for a 6:30 p.m. game.
Area tournaments start Friday, July 11, but assignments had not been announced at press time.
