The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of School District No. 2R, Butler County Nebraska, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Saturday, March 14, 2026. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes and treasurer’s report. 2. Approved LanMan Partnership agreement for the 2026-2027 school year. 3. Approved Buresh Lawn Care mowing bid. 4. Closed Session for purpose of discussing classified staff compensation to protect the financial interest of the district. 5. Approved 4% increase on classified staff salary and also increased substitute pay for 2026-27. 6. Approved the quote from Apple, Inc. on the purchase of 25 new iPads and the Quote from KCAV for the purchase of 11 new interactive panels for the elementary classrooms. 7. Approved contract with Boyd Jones and authorized Superintendent and/or Board President the authorization to sign the contract on behalf of the district. Items Discussed: 1. Informational Items included: Facility Enhancement Project and Summer Work Update; Legislation Update; 2026-2027 Extra Duty Assignments; and Policy Revisions. 2.
