The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of School District No. 2R, Butler County Nebraska, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes and treasurer’s report. 2. Approved early graduation requests. 3. Recognized EBEA as bargaining agent for 2027-28 and 2028-2029 school years. 4. Approved Policy 3056 Guest Speakers with changes and tabled Policy 4003 Drug Policy Regarding Drivers. 5. Closed Session to discuss east parking lot in Brainard and the construction manager at risk delivery method in order to protect the public interest. 6. Approved EGA Civil Engineering to conduct the survey and design for both the east parking lot and a future building project. 7. Approved resolution to move forward with the construction manager at risk delivery system for a future facility project. Items Discussed: 1.
