THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2R, BUTLER COUNTY NEBRASKA, THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF EAST BUTLER, IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes; treasurer’s report; resignations and hires; school board treasurer; and authorization of transfers. 2. Approved capacity numbers for the 2026-27 school year as presented. 3. Approved resolution to increase the school district’s property tax request authority by an additional seven percent, or other maximum amount as permitted by law, above the base growth percentage.
