THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2R, BUTLER COUNTY NEBRASKA, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes, treasurer’s report, and approval of hires - Madisyn Jakub - 5th Grade Brainard; Alexie Tejral - 3rd/4th Grade Dwight; and Nathan Wall - 6th Grade Brainard. 2. Approved senior class trip to Top Golf in Omaha on April 30, 2025. 3. Approved 2025 graduating class pending completion of graduation requirements. 4. Approved bid for 2012 Chevy Impala for $2,665 from Eldrid Vrana. 5. Approved purchase of 2025 Chevy Malibu for $24,377 from Sid Dillon. 6. Approved bid for a new 700 lb. Cubelet ice machine for $10,698 from Lee’s Refrigeration. 7. Approved bid of $29,000 from F & S Trenching for the demolition of the houses at 203 S Madison and 211 S Madison Street in Brainard. 8.
