THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2R, BUTLER COUNTY NEBRASKA, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Thursday, March 13, 2025. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes and treasurer’s report 2. Approved Madison Street Drainage Project Design and Bid process 3. Approved retirement of Kathy Bohac, Patti Meysenburg, and Marilyn Walla. 4. Renewal of girls’ wrestling cooperative with David City Public School and Shelby-Rising City Public School. 5. Approved adoption of the strategic plan. 6. Approved bid for asbestos abatement in the Biology classroom from ABC Abatement for $9,600.oo. 7. Approved mowing bid from Buresh Lawn Care for $500 per mowing. 8. Creation of school board advocacy committee. 9. Approved computer bids from Apple, Inc ($91,350) and Dell Technologies ($12,800) 10. Approved amendment to 2025-2026 school calendar moving Parent-Teacher Conferences from February 18 to February 25, 2026. 11. Approved LanMan Partnership Agreement with ESU 7. 12. Approved timeline of property (two houses) on east side of the Brainard building. Items Discussed: 1.
