THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION OF SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 2R, BUTLER COUNTY NEBRASKA, THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OF EAST BUTLER, IN THE STATE OF NEBRASKA was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes and treasurer’s report 2. Approved contract with BCDM Architectural Firm for facility assessment and to develop a master facility plan 3. Approved tree removal bid from Hobson Tree Service 4. Approved amendment to the negotiated agreement to add the social media coordinator position to the extra-duty pay schedule 5. Approved policy revisions 6. Entered closed session to discuss the compensation for the classified staff to protect the public interest 7. Approved 2.7% salary increase for classified staff for 2025-26 with sub bus routes at $45 and activity trips to $20 per hour Items Discussed: 1.
