The Parental Involvement Hearing; Student Fee Hearing; and Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of School District No. 2R, Butler County Nebraska, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Monday, July 13, 2026. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Ryan Pekarek, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Laurie Smaus, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approve consent agenda: minutes and treasurer’s report; and reappointment of Foundation Board Member - John Fencl. 2. Approve payment of Application Number 2 for Boyd Jones Construction. 3. Approve bills for electrical components for new addition and east parking lot. 4. Approve Option 2 for 8’ tall, black vinyl chain link fence for new basketball court. 5. Approve policy updates that were presented by KSB School Law. 6. Approve 2026-27 Staff Handbook as presented. 7. Approve 2026-27 Emergency Operations Plan as presented. 8.
