Susan Jensen Sattler, Kimberling City, Missouri, daughter of Joseph and Marie (Blum) Theisen, was born Aug. 18, 1936, at Aurora, and departed this life on March 27, 2024, at the age of 87.

Susan grew up in Hastings, graduating from Hastings High School in 1954 as valedictorian. She went on to graduate from Bryan Nursing School in 1957 as a Registered Nurse. Susan was united in marriage to Keith Jensen in June of 1957. She lived and worked in Seward until Keith’s passing in 1978.

On July 1, 1984, she married Al Sattler in Hastings. Together, they moved to Beatrice, where they owned a business, and she worked as a nurse for Good Samaritan. They retired to Kimberling City in 2000. There she and Al enjoyed boating and fishing on Table Rock Lake. Susan was an avid and amazing quilter, crafter, and reader. She enjoyed gardening and camping as well.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Keith Jensen; and a granddaughter, Paige Carlson.

Susan is survived by her husband, Al Sattler of Kimberling City; four children: Diane (and Greg) Hofer (Seward), Pat (and Mike) Carlson (Atlantic, Iowa), Doug Jensen (and Joyce Harter) (Olathe, Kansas), and Kurt Jensen; five grandchildren, Katie (and Mason) Roberts, Lindsey Hofer, Garrett (and Allyn) Carlson, Haley (and Reid) Kirlin and Hannah Carlson; two great-grandchildren, Rylan Carlson and Cooper Roberts; and a brother, Tom (and Carolyn) Theisen (Whittier, California).

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 11, at 2 p.m. at Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home in Seward.
