Stuff cruiser to help local children

The annual Stuff the Cruiser toy drive  is scheduled for Dollar General and Orschelen’s in Seward on Friday, Dec. 4, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is also a box for toys in the store for collections after the fact. The Stuff the Cruiser team will be at Walmart on Friday, Dec. 4, from 3 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 5, from 10 a.m. through 3 p.m.

Toys can be dropped off at the Seward Police Department any time. The Police Department is located at 159 S. First Street, Seward.

Parents of the children are given the opportunity to select the toys they’d like for their children during their scheduled shopping appointment on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Seward Civic Center.

To nominate a child for gifts, contact the Stuff the Cruiser hotline at (402) 646-5755 from 9 a.m. through 7 p.m. by Thursday, Dec. 3. Information needed includes parent’s name, child’s name and age and sex of the child and gift ideas. A shopping time will be scheduled with the caller on Saturday, Dec. 12. The program is for children newborn through age 12.
