Stephanie Patricia Lewis, 69, of Milford, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026.
Stephanie was born Nov. 26, 1956, in Los Angeles, California, to Thomas and Elizabeth (Munson) Lewis. She grew up with a strong sense of family and dedication that would remain central throughout her life. On July 18, 1990, she was united in marriage to Rafael De Ayala. Together, they built a life rooted in love, partnership, and devotion.
Stephanie was deeply committed to education and earned her Master’s degree in education. She dedicated her life to learning and helping others grow, leaving a lasting impact on those she taught and inspired.
She is survived by her loving husband, Rafael De Ayala of Nebraska; her daughter, Isabel De Ayala Olson of Minnesota; her father, Thomas Lewis; her siblings, Thomasine Tilen, Gregg Lewis, Jeff Lewis, Mitchell Lewis; and her fierce advocate and loving sister-in-law Sandy Santiago.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Lewis.
Stephanie will be remembered for her kindness, her dedication to family and her passion for education. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
A Celebration of Life service was April 10.
