STAPLEHURST VILLAGE BOARD SPECIAL MEETING The Staplehurst Village Board of Trustees met in special session on May 13th, 2025, at 7:00 pm at the Village Hall. Trustees Stava, Frank, Hans, Wilken, and Benedict were present. The board established changes to the open Maintenance Personnel position, making it hourly with comp time and setting a pay range of $22-$25 per hour based on experience. The position will be advertised in four surrounding community newspapers and on the village Facebook page. While seeking to fill the position, the board will review bids from three insured mowing companies for interim maintenance services. Regarding the Community Clean-Up initiative, the board reviewed properties that received initial notification letters from the village attorney. Residents still have 14 days remaining of their original 30-day compliance period. Follow-up assessments will determine which properties require second notices, with final decisions to be made at the regular monthly board meeting on May 27th, 2025.
