Shirley Lee Keller was born July 23, 1936, to Neil and Nellie (Fifer) Grubb in Lincoln.
She attended Northeast High School, graduating in 1954. Following high school, Shirley attended Bryan Hospital, where she earned her nursing degree. On June 6, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Lloyd Keller at Havelock Methodist Church. She was a nurse at Seward Memorial Hospital for more than 50 years.
In her free time, she enjoyed needlepoint, playing the organ, and bingo. Shirley passed away Aug 15, 2026, in Seward, at the age of 90.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Keller of Seward; children, LeRoy Keller of Breckenridge, Texas, and Larry Keller of Kennebunkport, Maine. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Neil and Nellie Grubb.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 21, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Volzke Funeral Home with the service at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be at the Seward Cemetery.
