Scott James Policky was born March 17, 1961, in Seward, to Donald and Katherine (Anderly) Policky and passed away Jan. 17, 2024, in Lincoln, at the age of 62.

Scott, hailing from Bee, began his journey on a farm and graduated from East Butler High School in 1979. He honed his skills in auto technology at Southeast Community College and dedicated 43 years to Walker Manufacturing.

Scott spent decades as a professional drummer in the Homegrown Band. The camaraderie within the band and the joy of creating music became a cherished part of Scott's life. In July 1982, he married Jeanne Hladik, and they welcomed three children, Maegan, Sara and Jamie. Scott also earned an associate degree in computer science.

In his free time, Scott enjoyed making music, tinkering in his garage and socializing. Weekends were reserved for The Polka Show and listening to Husker sports. Always the entertainer, Scott loved to put on elaborate 4th of July fireworks and Christmas displays. Above all, Scott cherished his three granddaughters, who brought immense joy to his life.

Scott is preceded in death by his father, Donald Policky.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his children and their significant others, Maegan (David) Bouc, Sara (Cody DeMaris) Policky, Jamie (Kelsey West) Policky; granddaughters, Taylor Bouc, Stella Bouc and Eleanor DeMaris; mother, Kathy Policky; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jodi (Arthur) Pelan, and Pamela (Jeff) Krenk.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Seward with interment at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery at Bee. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Policky family for future designations. Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
