The Seward High Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) students were recognized at the recent Seward Rotary Club meeting Nov. 12 at the Seward Civic Center.
Honored were Alexis Collings, Kinlee Goracke, Joyah Warren and Avery Rodocker, all sponsored by the Seward Rotary Club. Collings, Goracke and Warren were student participants and Rodocker (who participated in RYLA in past years) was a counselor/leader.
The three-day RYLA leadership program was led by Rotary Club volunteers and Leadership Lincoln. The students were selected from a written application and judges’ interview. Jon and Bonnie Kruse were the Rotarians on the panel of judges, along with Courtney Meyer and Cindy Winter.
The students were introduced at the meeting and will return in the spring with a detailed report on their RYLA experience.
RYLA is a register leadership program developed and created for youth by Rotary International. Students from across the Rotary District 5655 ( Nebraska and Iowa) participated in the event.
