Seward Rotary Club President Brady Johnson presented a check to Seward County Historical Society Museum board member Sue Imig to become a lifetime member of the Seward County Historical Society Museum.

“The Seward Rotary Club annually hosts a Family Day at the Museum each fall and felt our club should also commit financially to the support of their program,” Seward Rotary President Brady Johnson said. “The Seward County Historical Society Museum captures a very effective picture of the past of Seward County, and we hope our Rotary Club can promote that historical significance with promotions and financially.”

The lifetime membership investment is a onetime cost of $150, and the funds are used to assist in the maintenance and ongoing expenses of the Seward Country Historical Society Museum.

“We are all volunteers at the museum. There is not a paid staff and the facility and programs are not funded with any tax dollars,” said Sue Imig of the SCHSM Board.

“Our Rotary Club challenges other civic groups and businesses to join us in becoming a life member and make a donation to support this very worthwhile program,” Johnson said. “We know the volunteers at the museum work hard to preserve the past for the future and salute their volunteers, who are living the Rotary motto of Service Above Self. We hope other groups join the Rotary and make an investment in the Seward County Historical Society Museum. “

Yearly memberships to the SCHS are $10. Contact any board member for an application.
