Robert Dale “Bob” Crampton, of Seward, went to be with Our Lord, June 2, 2022.

Bob was born in 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. He attended Mesa High School in Mesa, Arizona, Class of 1954. Bob was loved by everyone. His personality was larger than life, and he lived his life with great fervor. Known for his intelligence, creativity and sense of humor, Bob was also an accomplished man in just about everything he pursued. He worked his way up from the position of line worker at Walker Muffler to head of quality control before retiring. He was a skilled golfer and fisherman, and gave us so many wonderful memories while boating and camping with family and friends. He had a wide array of interests including cooking, dancing, bowling, coin and gem collecting and studying about ancient Egyptian treasures and lore. He was an avid reader and he gave away more than 3,000 books. A true Cornhusker fan, he attended many home and away games.

Bob had the heart of an adventurer and spent many years exploring the Valley of the Sun, especially appreciating the magnificence of Superstition Mountain in Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edith Crampton, and sisters, Marion Crampton and Dessie-Ellen (Crampton) Coggins. He is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Bernadine (Flanigan) Crampton, of Seward; nephew, Eric “Ric” Coggins (Suzette); nieces, Lynn Reed (Kent), Lisa Petrini (Russ) and Lori Coggins (Gil Padilla), all of Arizona.

A cherished husband, uncle, co-worker and friend, his life was a testament to honesty, hard work, integrity, friendship, love of life and commitment to those he loved. Although it was his desire that no services be held, our family is so very grateful to those who have shared in the life of our loved one, Bob Crampton.
