Terry Lynn Brandenburg of Omaha went to be with his Lord the evening of March 23, 2024.
Terry was born in Seward in 1948. He was the oldest of three children born to Lemuel J. (Buck) and Evelyn Brandenburg of Staplehurst. Terry graduated from Seward High School in 1967, Concordia Teacher's College in 1971 and Concordia Theological Seminary, Springfield, Illinois, in 1976.
On May 28, 1972, Terry married Rachel Cloeter at St. John Lutheran Church, Seward. He served Missouri Synod Lutheran congregations as a pastor in California, Minnesota, Colorado, Wyoming, Las Vegas, and finally, Grand Island. After retiring, they moved to Omaha.
Terry is survived by his wife, Rachel; daughter, Jennifer (Brad) Kreikemeier; five grandchildren; sister, Susan (Doug) Zurek; sister-in-law, Melanie Brandenburg; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bethany; brother, Steve Brandenburg; his parents; and in-laws.
