Darin Mongeon, colonel, U.S. Army Reserves, was the guest speaker at Milford’s Memorial Day observance May 26. Mongeon talked about heroes, including Jack Lummus, an athlete who died from injuries suffered on Iwo Jima. The program included music from the Milford High School band, a salute to the dead by the Milford Honor Guard and Taps played by Avery Carter.
