Randy Dean Niemann was born Feb. 22, 1962, in Wahoo, to George and Betty (Tesinsky) Niemann and passed away Dec. 27, 2022, in Brainard, at the age of 60 years, 10 months and 5 days.

Randy grew up on an acreage near Bee and graduated from East Butler High School with the Class of 1980. After high school, Randy worked for Northside, Inc., in David City as a propane driver. On Sept. 27, 1986, Randy was united in marriage to Jeanne Machacek, and to this union, two sons were born. Randy’s sense of humor was the reason Jeanne immediately fell in love with him. They have lived on an acreage near Dwight since the day they were married. After 30 years, Randy retired from Goodyear in January of 2022. In his free time, Randy enjoyed mowing lawns, playing pool, driving his Chevelle and Bucket Rod and watching football. He was a Green Bay Packers and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. Randy also enjoyed traveling with his wife, but his favorite trip was driving on Route 66. He was a former member of the Dwight Volunteer Fire Department, Dwight Rural Fire Board and the Richardson Township Board. Randy loved meeting new people and visiting with the old timers.

Randy is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law, Arnold and Rose Machacek; brothers-in-law, Tom Machacek and Pat Taylor; and an infant grandson.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his wife, Jeanne Niemann; sons and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Gabrielle Niemann, and Colton Niemann; brothers and sisters-in-law, Doug and Renee Niemann, Steve and Linda Niemann, and George and Kacy Niemann; stepmother, Joan Niemann; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Denise Taylor, Nancy and Don Niemann, Diane and Duane Tejral, Nadine Sabata, Moe Machacek and Anjie Novak; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was Jan. 3 at Assumption Catholic Church in Dwight with interment at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Assumption Catholic Church Grottoes or the Dwight Volunteer Fire Department. Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
