The Seward Rotary Club’s annual Children’s Halloween Costume Contest has been set for Thursday, Oct. 28, at the Seward Bandshell. In case of rain or bad weather, the event will be held at the Civic Center Auditorium. The event will begin at 6 p.m. and is open to all children by age groups-babies through age 12. The event is free and open to the public and all the children will be given free bags of candy. Awards will be given to the first, second and third place winners in each age group, with each place winning a medal. There will be an overall Grand Prize awarded as well. The chairman of the event is Rotarian Dr. Ron Wallman of Seward, assisted by the members of the Seward Rotary.
