November 1, 2022 The Village of Goehner Board of Trustees met in open and regular session on November 1, 2022, at the Goehner Fire Hall, as posted in three places in the Village. Chairperson Knisley announced the location of the OPEN MEETINGS ACT POSTER. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Knisley at 7:30 p.m., at the Goehner Fire Hall. Upon roll call, the following board members were present: Besse, Ostrander, Bialas, Agena and Knisley. CONSENT AGENDA: Minutes of 10/11/2022 Meeting; Treasurer’s Report; Bills payable to date; Trustee Bialas moved to approve the consent agenda, with second by Agena. RCV: Aye-Trustee Bialas, Agena, Besse, Ostrander. Motion carried. Building permit for garage for James Campbell approved. Clerk sent letter about tomato cages on Bessie Street. Next Solid waste meeting 1/9/23. Traffic report was emailed to board. Clerk looking into Lagoon treatment chemicals and options for improving water quality in village. Motion to have Johnson’s jet and clean out sewer lines by Besse, seconded by Agena. RCV: Besse, Agena, Bialas, Ostrander. Motion Carried. George K. to make contact and set up. Christmas lights are needing replaced. Need 13. Shut offs on poles are bad and will need replaced too. Clerk to email Ulch Electric about cost to fix the light pole connectors. Motion by Besse, seconded by Agena to allow purchase of 13 LED Xmas pole lights up to $125 each, for Village street decorations. Clerk to purchase and request reimbursement asap. RCV: Besse, Agena, Bialas, Ostrander. Motion Carried. Galen Skinner trimmed trees and requested that the Village clean up. George and Billy C worked 4 hours. $100/hour for labor, tractor, and fuel. Clerk to send a bill. Clerk asked if Billy C & George K to set up for election on 11/8/22. Commissioner Ahmic requested that the Village participate in the Green Out for Veterans by having a green light shine all week (11/7-11/11) to show support for Veterans. Clerk to try to contact Dick Rhoades about train museum lights, there are no village owned lights that currently work on May Street. Clerk reported update from Reagan Hain. One-time online application for burn permit for burn pile completed by Clerk. Adjourned at 8:22.
