NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS CITY OF SEWARD, WORTHMAN BOULEVARD WATERMAIN PHASE III Sealed proposals will be received by the CITY CLERK, CITY OF SEWARD – CITY HALL, 537 Main Street, P.O. Box 38, SEWARD, NE 68434 until 10:00 a.m. on the 8th day of January 2026, for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to complete all work designated as WORTHMAN BOULEVARD WATER MAIN PHASE III as per plans and specifications for such work now on file with the A&D Technical Supply website. An optional paper set of project documents is available for a non-refundable price through A&D Technical Supply. If you have any questions, contact Michael Oneby, P.E. at 402-643-4000 extension number 203. To bid the project, the contract documents must be issued directly by A&D Technical Supply. The project consists of: Constructing new public water main north of Walker Road by boring a 30” x 90’ casing pipe below the existing railroad (BNSF Railway) that parallels Walker Road. The project also includes approximately 173 feet of 16” water main and site restoration. Site restoration includes minor grading and paving around new water valves along with placement of new gravel surfacing on Walker Road. Proposals will be taken for said construction work described above by unit prices, as an aggregate bid for the entire project. Proposals shall also include contractor qualifications as described in the Instruction to Bidders, Article 3. All proposals for said construction work must be made on blanks furnished by the Engineer and must be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than 5% of the amount bid. Bid Security to be made payable to the City of Seward as liquidated damages in case the bid is accepted and the bidder neglects or refuses, to enter into contract and furnish bond in accordance herewith. No bidder may withdraw the submitted proposal for a period of forty-five (45) days after the date set for the opening of bids.
