NOTICE The Regular Meeting of the Board of Education of School District No. 2R, Butler County Nebraska, the School District of East Butler, in the State of Nebraska was convened at the school in Brainard, NE the meeting place of said Board on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Attending were Board Members: Megan Kozisek, Kim TePoel, Sarah Strizek, Brandon Jisa, Ryan Pekarek, and Dylan Spatz. Also present were Mr. Michael Eldridge, Superintendent, Mr. Mark Cidlik, Secondary Principal, and Mr. Shawn Biltoft, Elementary Principal. Motions were made on the following items: 1. Approved consent agenda: minutes, treasurer’s report; and EBEA recognition letter. 2. Renewed softball cooperative with David City Public School and Shelby-Rising City Public School. 3. Approved total amount of Madison Street drainage issue project not to exceed $200,000 plus adding district’s name on JEO Owner-Engineer Agreement and including the removal of trees on the east side of Madison Street in front of the Brainard building. 4. Approved Memphis, Tennessee band trip in December of 2025. 5. Motion failed on purchase of Blue Bird micro-bus. 6. Closed Session - Protection of the financial interests of the district. Items Discussed: 1. Celebration of Even Better - Michael Kunasek - National FFA Choir and Hannah Strizek 2. Nebraska All-State Choir. 3.
