NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING ON APPLICATION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on May 7, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. in the Weber Meier Memorial Library Meeting Room located at 617 2nd Street, Milford, Nebraska 68405, Mesner Development Co., a Nebraska corporation, will hold a public meeting as applicable concerning an application to the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (DED) for HOME Investment Partnerships Fund (HOME) and/or National Housing Trust Fund (HTF) grants. This funding is available for local affordable housing activities. Mesner Development Co. is requesting up to $650,000 in HOME and/or HTF Funds for Oak Avenue Villas, a low-income housing tax credit project that will benefit low to moderate income seniors. Oak Avenue Villas will consist of 20 units built in duplex design. The housing is to be located approximately South of Oak Avenue (Extended) and North of Linden Avenue, Milford, Nebraska. In addition to up to $650,000 in HOME and/or HTF Funds requested from DED, up to $4,080,000 will be invested by a purchaser of the low-income housing tax credits upon award of the tax credits from the Nebraska Investment Finance Authority; and up to $520,000 in a conventional loan. No displacement of persons will be required as a result of this project. The grant application will also be available for public inspection at the Weber Meier Memorial Library Meeting Room located at 617 2nd Street, Milford, Nebraska 68405. All interested parties are invited to attend this public meeting at which time you will have an opportunity to be heard regarding the grant application. Written testimony will also be accepted at the public meeting scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on May 7, 2024.
