NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION HIGHWAY PROJECT INFORMATION NDOT PROJECT: STP-L80E(113) Blue River, Beaver Crossing; C.N. 13182 The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) is currently soliciting public input on the proposed bridge repair on Nebraska Link 80E (L80E) in Seward County. Identified as Blue River, Beaver Crossing, the proposed project would repair the bridge on L80E at approximately mile marker (MM) 8.23, or about 0.35 miles south of Beaver Crossing. Construction may begin and/or end approximately 500 feet ahead of or beyond the actual project limits to accommodate transitioning the pavement. The purpose of this project is to preserve the L80E transportation asset, improve the reliability of the transportation system, and perpetuate the mobility of the traveling public. The need for this proposed project is based on the current condition of the bridge. The proposed improvements on this project would consist of removing the existing decking and re-decking the bridge over West Fork Big Blue River (Structure Number SL80E00823). Additional work would include grading and removal and replacement of guardrail with surfacing underneath the guardrail. The proposed project would not require the acquisition of additional property rights. Access to adjacent properties would be maintained during construction but may be limited at times due to phasing requirements. Construction for the proposed project could begin as early as spring 2025 and be completed by winter of 2025. The project would not be constructed under traffic. A detour would be provided utilizing Interstate 80 (I-80), Nebraska Highway 15 (N-15), and US Highway 6 (US-6). The public is being encouraged to make suggestions or express concerns regarding the proposed project. Materials can be provided in alternative languages or formats. Comments will be collected through January 05, 2024. Written comments or requests should be submitted to: Samantha Huebner, Public Involvement Specialist, Nebraska Department of Transportation, P.O.
