Michael Lynn Walker was born Sept. 20, 1961, in Seward, to Harold and Charlotte (Watson) Walker and passed away Feb. 12, 2023, in Henderson, at the age of 61 years, 4 months and 23 days.

Mike grew up in Milford until the age of 15. He then moved to Seward, where he attended Seward High School. On June 7, 1980, Mike was united in marriage to Jessie Anderson for 25 years, and to this union, three children were born, Shane, Trenton and Dani. Mike worked several odd jobs in construction in Seward and York counties. In 1983, he started working at Merle’s Garden Center for 25 years, where he enjoyed landscaping. Mike then began working for Kuhlman Construction, Inc., for a couple of years. He returned to school and received a degree in Alcohol and Drug Counseling. Mike was employed at Railcrew Xpress for several years. He loved pinball, Harley Davidson, fishing and watching Husker football. He attended several churches in the Seward area.

Mike is preceded in death by his grandparents, Burdette and Margaret Watson and Clyde and Hilda Walker; son, Trenton Walker; sisters, Annette Walker and Dee Soukup; brother-in-law, John Anderson; and close friend, Cindy Wehtje.

Survivors cherishing his memory include his children, Sgt. Shane (Stacy) Walker, Dani White (Jake Luebbe); grandchildren, Jacob, Trenton, Whitley and Amerli Walker, Brooklyn, Zoe and Emry White and Harmonie Sieck; special friends, Jessie and Scott Prochnow; mother, Charlotte Watson (special friend, Dwayne Fosler); father, Harold (Linda) Walker; siblings, Nancy (John) Syme, Barb (Pat) Tribute, Thom (Tina) Neujahr, Christopher “Spud” Neujahr, Matthew Walker, and Mark Walker; mother-in-law, Maxine Erks; brothers-in law, Theodore Anderson and Travis Soukup; sisters-in-law, Laural Anderson and Teresa (Doug) Rempel; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The funeral was Feb. 17 at Hillcrest Evangelical Free Church in Seward. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Walker family for future designations. Arrangements by Zabka-Perdue Funeral Home.
