Marlin Eugene Suhr was born February 20, 1953, to Lloyd E. and Phyllis P. (Hunsche) Suhr in Seward.
He attended Seward High School, graduating in 1972. Marlin served in the United States Navy. He worked as a skilled laborer. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, antique clocks, polka music and working on small engines. He also liked spending time in his fruit tree orchard and he loved his dogs. Marlin passed away Jan. 12, 2024, in Lincoln, at the age of 70.
He is survived by his siblings, Connie Jo (Ron) Stevens of Gothenburg, David (Lana) Suhr of Lincoln, and Kent (Connie) Suhr of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Phyllis Suhr.
Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 19, from 5 – 8 p.m. At Volzke Funeral Home in Seward with a gathering of family and friends from 6:30 – 8 p.m. The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 20, at St. John Lutheran Church in Seward with committal at the Seward Cemetery. Full military honors will be held outside the church following the service. Memorial contributions are suggested in care of the Suhr family. Arrangements by Volzke Funeral Home.
