MARCH 9, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED MARCH 30, 2021 The Seward County Board of Equalization convened on March 9, 2021, at 8:30 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki Deputy County Clerk: Brandy Johnson County Assessor: Marilyn Hladky Approved the minutes of February 23, 2021. Hladky gave an update of her office. Convened as the Board of Commissioners. Approved minutes of March 2, 2021. Terry Wicht, Highway Supt., gave an update of his office. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Accepted the February 2021 Fee Reports for the Clerk of the District Court and County Clerk. Approved updated Fee Schedule for Sheriff/Jail. Approved Jones Bank to withdraw pledged securities. Approved Cattle Bank to pledge additional securities. Terry Wicht was present to discuss a claim for damage to fiber optic line. Authorized County Clerk to advertise for bids for mowing abandoned cemeteries. Accepted Sheriff Fee & Mileage Report for January 2021. Approved Union Bank as a Seward County Depository. Approved Employee Appreciation Committee to plan the 2021 Employee Appreciation gathering and set the dollar amount per employee allowance. Held hearing for 1 & 6 Year Road Plan.
