MARCH 24, 2026 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Board of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. Approved short form plat in I Precinct. Held Executive Session for personnel. Approved Chair to sign Federal Transit Administration Title VI Program for Public Transit. Approved signing Letter of Support for Congressionally Directed Spending to Senator Fischer for the 420th Road paving project. Approved Statutory County Match amount for Region 5 Systems for FY 2026-2027. Approved signing Letter of Support for Congressionally Directed Spending (CDS) for the Village of Staplehurst for a Water Treatment Facility and Well. Approved appointing Kim Payne as the Utica Representative for the Aging Services Board for the term of January 2026 through December 2027. Discussion was held on additional funding request for Region 5; and the hiring process for the Aging Services Program Manager.
