MARCH 16, 2021 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OFFICIAL PROCEEDINGS Boards of Commissioner Meetings are held each Tuesday morning in the Seward County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., except for the first Tuesday of each month when meetings will be held at 8:30 a.m. Notice of each meeting is posted on the Courthouse bulletin board and on the Commissioner’s room door. The agenda for all meetings is kept continually current and is available for public inspection at the County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours. The agenda is held open until one business day prior to the meeting for appearance before the Board. The Board has the right to modify the agenda to include items of an emergency nature only at such public meeting. CLAIMS ALLOWED APRIL 13, 2021 The Seward County Board of Commissioners convened on March 16, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. Present: Chairperson: John Culver Members: Misty Ahmic, Bob Vrbka, Ken Schmieding, Darrell Zabrocki County Clerk: Sherry Schweitzer Approved the minutes of March 9, 2021. Approved Seward County Claims through March 5, 2021. Sherry Schweitzer gave information about LB 310 in regard to inheritance tax. Commissioners gave an update of their activities. Approved removal of tree on North side of courthouse. Assigned each Commissioner abandoned cemeteries to check over the summer. Approved 2021-2022 Community-Based Grant Application as presented by Megan Kahler, Executive Director of Bridges. Approved Surplus Property Disposal Request from County Attorney’s office. Held Public Hearing for conditional use permit to install telecommunications tower in K precinct. No action was taken. The item will be put back on the Agenda in 2 weeks. Accepted the Treasurer’s Certification of Tax Sale held March 1, 2021, as presented by Treasurer, Bob Dahms and Deputy Treasurer, Sherry Leising. Accepted the County Treasurer’s List of Sold and Unsold Properties from the March 1, 2021, Tax Sale.
